About the Company

The implementation of the Tabriz Petrochemical Complex project was confirmed in the whole budget law of 1987, and the generalities of the plan were approved by the board of directors of the National Petrochemical Company in February 1989. Design and engineering activities began in the second half of 1990, and the installation operations started in 1992. Tabriz Petrochemical Company is located southwest of Tabriz, west of Tabriz Refinery, on a land area of 391 hectares and an altitude of 1362 meters above sea level.
Currently, Tabriz Petrochemical Company produces raw plastics (polyethylene, polystyrene, and ABS) and liquid and liquefied gas products, such as Pentane, 1,2-BD, 1-Butene, and C4 Raffinate, with a capacity of 840,000 tons per year. It is expected that the production capacity will reach more than 1 million and 450 thousand tons per year, in 2023, with the implementation of development projects, such as heavy polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylbenzene, and styrene monomer.
